The purpose of this educational article is to present a variety of vascular abnormalities of the spine to aid in recognition and accurate diagnosis. The lesions differ in clinical presentation, prognosis, and treatment. This has implications for patient care including treatment options. We provide an example-based illustrated glossary to help the reader identify varying types of vascular spine lesions. Collected cross-sectional and angiographic imaging of the spine from our tertiary care institution provides a clear patient-based representation.
